McDonald's Is Launching An Exciting New Dipping Sauce Next Week

McDonald's lovers rejoice! The chain just introduced its first new dipping sauce for 2024, which coincides with an engaging and incredibly innovative Golden Arches promotion.

On February 26, McDonald's will introduce a new Savory Chili Sauce to its menus in the United States and around the world. McDonald's stated in a news release that the sauce gives "an energetic blast of flavor" with a combination of ginger, garlic, and soy

The limited-edition sauce is part of a bigger campaign honoring "WcDonald's," a word long used to refer to McDonald's in Japanese-style anime and manga comic books.

The new sauce's powerful flavors are intended to reflect "the bold, dynamic spirit of your favorite anime heroes," according to the statement.

"Anime is a huge part of today's culture, and we love that our fans have been inviting us into the conversation for years," Tariq Hassan, chief marketing and customer experience officer of McDonald's USA, said in a statement.

"McDonald's universe reflects what fans have constructed. It respects and celebrates their vision and ingenuity, bringing it to life in our restaurants for the first time ever."

Along with the new sauce, McDonald's has a number of other treats in store for consumers as part of the WcDonalds campaign. Restaurants will receive new manga-inspired packaging designed by Acky Bright, a Japanese manga artist and illustrator.

McDonald's also collaborated with the Japanese animation studio Studio Pierrot to create the first official WcDonalds anime. Beginning February 26 and running through March 18, the firm will release a new anime short and manga every Monday.

Customers can access the new material by going to WcDonalds.com or scanning a code on WcDonalds packaging.Furthermore, McDonald's will have a WcDonald's Immersive Dining Experience in Los Angeles on March 8 and 9.

During the event, guests "will be transported into the WcDonald's universe through 360 projection mapping and immersive tabletop projections inspired by the four WcDonald's anime episodic shorts—all while enjoying a set menu of WcDonald's items," according to a press release.

Customers interested in attending can book a space through OpenTable beginning February 28.While visitors will have to wait a few more days to try the new sauce and enter the McDonald's universe, they do not have to wait at all to enjoy many other limited-edition items that have just appeared on McDonald's menus.

The restaurant reintroduced its seasonal Shamrock Shake and Oreo Shamrock McFlurry for a limited time beginning on February 5. It also reintroduced its huge Double Big Mac last month, however we didn't particularly enjoy the burger during a recent taste test.
